Archbishop Chapelle receives accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges And Schools

Members of the Quality Assurance Review Team joined by President Jane Ann Frosch and Principal Mary Beth Drez at the conclusion of their visit.

Mrs. Annette Thibodeaux, ACHS Librarian, recently attended the Young Adult Library Services Association "How We Read Now" Young Adult Literature Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee.  Ms Thibodeaux met many authors and learned about trends in young adult literature and many new and exciting young adult titles that would be worthy of inclusion in the Chapelle Library.  Ms Thibodeaux was able to attend this conference as the recipient of a World Book Grant administered by the Catholic Library Association 

 

Pajama Jam

On Friday, November 15, the Ambassadors hosted a "Pajama Jam" in the gym.  Dressed in their favorite PJs, over 275 fifth through eighth grade students attended.  They enjoyed performances by the HiSteppers, Chapellettes, and Cheerleaders. more pictures

Ms. Valerie Viosca, who practices acupuncture and massage therapy, was the guest speaker at the Psychology Club meting.

 

During Activity Period, members of the Shady Oaks Garden Club met with the Garden Club to make fall candle arrangements.
