This is Your Day

From the 1995 yearbook

"On a typical morning, students said the prayer and pledge then...Good Morning, Chipmunks!  Every Friday would be filled with anticipation.  Students wondered whose day it would be.  The bell rang, the prayer was said, and the announcement was made.  It was six lucky Chipmunks' lucky days.  This was the first year for the new student council project.  Student council officers would sing and entertain the school before each announcement.  Students from each class level and a staff member were chosen at random for the honors.  "This is Your Day" was a welcomed addition to the monotony of school.  It added a little spice into everyone's school day."

This is Your Day is still celebrated every Friday with clever songs, hand painted crowns, and sashes!
